Art on the Square 2008
Thank you for responding to the 2nd Annual Art on the Square event to be held April 26th 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.. on the Courthouse lawn in beautiful downtown San Marcos.
The purpose of Art of the Square is to provide a venue for local artists to exhibit and sell their work, and to foster growing public awareness of the area's creative community. Art on the Square is also a great opportunity for artists to network for future collaborations.
Information and Booth Application
Booth spaces are 10’ x 10.’ Artists must bring their own set-up as no tents, tables, chairs, easels, electricity or water will be provided. Specific locations will be assigned on a first arrive/first selection basis, beginning at the 8:00 a.m. set-up time on the day of the event.
Artists may exhibit their work individually, with other individual artists, or as part of a group (eg. FASA) or business, but each artist must fill out an individual application form (below).
Artists may only exhibit artwork made by themselves or members of their group or business. To maintain the artistic integrity of the event, organizers reserve the right to use these guidelines in accepting applications.
Applications should be received on-line no later than Monday, April 7th. They will be processed in the order received. Acceptance/reservation notifications will be e-mailed on or before Saturday, April 12th. Applications received after the deadline will be considered only if space is still available and will be responded to on a first come first serve basis.
Booth space is free, but limited, so be sure to get your application in early! Do not expect to show up and exhibit on the day of the event without having applied and received an acceptance notification!
